Our History
Jeff Parsons, Managing Forester for Kanawha Forestry is a practicing Registered Professional Forester in West Virginia, a nationally certified forester and a licensed real estate agent specializing in timberlands,
land and forest management and transactions & marketplaces. Jeff has over 28 years experience in multiple facets of the forestry, timber and land industries in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia.
His expertise includes land resource management, timber harvest & logging logistics, timber & land sales agency, timber inventory and appraisal, forest management planning and applications (including
development forest markets such as forest carbon credits), and expert witness services regarding forestry applications, the forest industry and timberlands. Jeff has been elected twice to the board of the West Virginia Forestry Association.
Our staff of land professionals and associates include foresters, forester techs and land resource managers that draw on over 75 years of combined land management and forestry experience. Our organizations are family companies and we are the sixth generation of the Parsons family tied to the land in West Virginia.
